ToggleFive days around Tuzla. Already planned.
This 5-day Tuzla road trip guide lets you unpack once and explore northeast Bosnia from one comfortable base. Salt lakes, fortress towns, Potočari, the Drina, Konjuh and Lake Modrac — with practical local notes and an interactive map to keep the route together.
Unpack once. Drive from there.
Tuzla
Srebrenik & Gradačac
Potočari & Zvornik
Konjuh from Zlača
Modrac & Tuzla
Everything you need. Nothing you need to organise twice.
This is not a list of places copied into a PDF. The pack is built around five usable days from one Tuzla base, with practical timings, driving notes, alternatives, food stops and a companion map that keeps each day together.
The timetable gives you a useful starting point, not a stopwatch. Move things around for weather, opening hours or the perfectly reasonable decision to stay for another coffee.
See what you are actually buying.
And yes, we included the useful Bosnian.
You do not need perfect pronunciation. A few words for parking, lunch, paying the bill and ordering another coffee can still make the road a little easier.
The route is planned. The pins are already waiting.
One interactive map covers all five days. Switch the daily layers on and off, open the stops you need today and read the practical notes before starting navigation.
Turn on the day you need.
Five days. Five very different Bosnias.
Start in the city, move through fortress country, spend a morning in remembrance, walk into the forest and finish beside the water. Same bed every night. Very different road every morning.
Tuzla
Salt lakes, old town and places of remembrance.
Leave the car parked and get to know your base. Start around Soni trg and Trg Slobode, wander through the centre, make time for Panonika and finish with Slana Banja and Kapija. And yes, there is room for coffee.
Srebrenik & Gradačac
Two fortresses. Two chapters of Bosnian history.
Head north for Srebrenik’s dramatic rock-top fortress, then continue to Gradačac for lunch, the fortress complex, the White Tower and enough time left for a town-centre coffee. There is no prize for climbing either fortress hungry.
Potočari & Zvornik
A quiet morning, then an afternoon beside the Drina.
Go directly to the Srebrenica Memorial Center and give the morning the time it deserves. Afterwards, continue towards Zvornik for lunch and a riverside walk. Kušlat and Divič remain optional, not obligations.
Konjuh from Zlača
Trees, walking and lunch back in the valley.
Use Zlača as your starting point and walk towards Zobik at a comfortable pace. Reaching the hut is a goal, not a requirement. Turn back when your timetable or your legs say so, then return to the valley for lunch.
Modrac & a final Tuzla afternoon
Coffee by the lake, then back to your favourite city corner.
After the forest day, take the morning more slowly. Head to the Prokosovići side of Lake Modrac for coffee, a short walk and lunch, then return to Tuzla for one last stroll through the centre.
Five days. One base. Already planned.
Start in Tuzla and let the road take care of the rest. Your five-day itinerary, practical local notes and interactive map are already together — ready for the trip, not another evening of planning.
